Ottawa to Monterey, California - $377 roundtrip after tax

If you're looking to check out California this winter, maybe have a look at flights on Air Canada from Ottawa to Monterey, California (MRY).
For some strange reason, flights to this smaller, less traveled airport are showing up around 25% cheaper than flights to major cities in California such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc, which are around $500 roundtrip after tax for the cheapest flights.
It's usually the reverse, major cities are almost always the cheapest to fly into, but not in this case.
Try February 1 to 7 for example, here's the screenshot from AirCanada.com :
Monterey is just south of San Francisco, along the coast. It's the A on the this map:
Driving along the coast in this area of California is incredible, I drove around there a few years ago. Basically all the scenery is at least as stunning as this:
Monterey is pretty much next door to Pebble Beach golf course as well. Very ritzy area. You can take a drive around Pebble beach and the multi-million dollar homes that line the shore.
And just south of Monterey is Big Sur, which is also unbelievably scenic:
