Just a heads up that there are some cheaper than usual flights from Ottawa to Los Angeles on US Airways at the moment.
It seems to be sporadic dates throughout November to February.

The typical bottom price to Los Angeles from Ottawa is in the range of $550 to $600 roundtrip after taxes.
You may also want to look at San Francisco on US Airways, as it has dropped as well, to the low $400s.

It appears they have removed the sale. The links show one filght at $470. That was short lived.
I checked Delta and they had $320 roundtrip from Ottawa to San Fran. Not sure if it's still up but it was 40 minutes ago.
