Ottawa to Cancun, Mexico - $218 to $321 CAD roundtrip [nonstop flights]

Flair Air has announced that they are planning to fly nonstop from Ottawa to Cancun, Mexico starting in February 2022.
Prices start at $218 roundtrip (base fare only). The realistic price is about $321 roundtrip with a piece of carry-on luggage.
But booking with Flair comes with risk. They've been expanding aggressively with new routes all across Canada, into the U.S., and now into Mexico.
They've been announcing new routes, accepting payment, but not all of the 'new routes' have made it to fruition.
Flair's strategy seems to involve throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks.
It's a shame because Flair has been the catalyst for the low domestic prices we're seeing on many routes in Canada for over a year now. WestJet/Swoop and Air Canada have had to respond to the increased competition by dropping their prices.
It would be nice to see this additional competitive pressure on prices to the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean.
But Flair, remember, it only counts if you actually fly the flights you're selling. Now more than ever, travellers need certainty when it comes to planning their vacation.

Flair is great, if they fly. I had booked YOW-YLW a few months back to fly in 2 weeks time. After buying, flights disappeared. No notice, no refund from Flair. Emails to Flair went unanswered. Phone calls were either dropped or unanswered after hours on hold. Initiated an Amex chargeback. Within 5 minutes of sending to Amex, Flair advised a refund was forthcoming and mails were replied to.
Fly with Flair, never!
I don't even bother looking at Flair. They're basically a scam. If you are ok buying tickets with no expectation of actually having a flight (or having a flight to come back) sure, but I don't plan many trips like this.
