All-Inclusive package deal: 4* Memories Flamenco - $570/person after taxes & fees

There's a 7 night all-inclusive package from Ottawa to the Memories Flamenco in Cayo Coco, Cuba departing on November 27 for $570/person after all taxes and fees (includes flight, hotel, all meals, all drinks) .

The Ultimate All-Inclusive Deal Finder has calculated this deal as having a Deal Score of 83 out of 100, based on price vs quality.

The package can be found with the following search:

Why I Like This Deal:

- The reviews of the Memories Flamenco on TripAdvisor are pretty much all either excellent or very good. This fact, combined with the low price, is what leads to the high Deal Score. I like deals where you're getting the most for the least.

- From reading the reviews, it sounds like some travel companies have tried to market this as a 5* resort, which has lead to expectations that weren't met. I think it would be more accurate to call it a solid 4* resort.

- The price initially shows as $640/person but drops even further to $570/person on the price verification page.

My Analysis Of Current All-Inclusive Deals:

- At the moment, the Canadian tour operators look to be focusing their deepest price cuts towards all-inclusive packages on the following departure dates from Ottawa: Nov 27 to Nov 30, Dec 2 to Dec 8, and Jan 9 to Jan 18. [search this date range]
A large percentage of the highest Deal Scores involve packages departing on those dates at the moment.

- Almost all of the best deals for the money are in Cuba, particularly through Sunwing, with a few in the Dominican Republic.

although the tool is very helpful, you commentary around the general trends and availability holds the most value! Please keep it up - maybe a weekly post on your general observations? Thanks in advance

Thanks Frank, I have thought about doing a weekly analysis. If you have anything specific you'd like me to analyze just let me know. I also plan to mine the price data even further to help spot trends.

Ideas for format - focus by operator, by location (region?), by star categories (i would be interested in 5* in particular), by price range - all that is very helpful. Your short commentary today was spot on. Price trends is the key ingredient I guess, so combining that with the price/quality score gets you to "value" - and answering the value question is what every consumer is looking for. Pretty much google flights with price trending...

Thanks Frank, that's very helpful! The price/quality score (aka the 'Deal Score') is my attempt to pinpoint exactly what the best values are, relative to the millions of other deals out there.

To me, value is everything, whether it's a 5* resort or a 3* resort, I want the deal where the price is the most out of line relative to the quality I'm getting.

So by default, higher Deal Scores are an indication of a lower price trend, since the quality of what you're getting doesn't vary wildly over short periods of time like price can.

Your feedback is very helpful, and I'll definitely do what I can to comment on what I'm noticing.
