There's an interesting multi-city deal, where you can fly from Ottawa to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and then fly home from Bangkok, Thailand - for just $768 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
This can be a great deal for someone looking to explore Southeast Asia. You still need to find your way between Vietnam and Thailand.
A flight between the two countries generally costs between $65 and $100 CAD. Thai Air Asia and VietJet Air are two of the low cost airlines that fly between Vietnam and Thailand.
Note that the low cost carriers may sometimes use Bangkok's DMK airport, instead of BKK.

3. Click on 'Remove Segment' (near the bottom)
4. For the first segment, enter Ottawa to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN)

Update @ 5:23 PM : Delta seems to have caught on and the price is now back up unfortunately. There were reports that the reverse was working for a while as well (out of a Canadian city, back into a U.S. city). Could still be worth trying.
